ERRATUM

24th November 2005

On page 61 the pattern under the heading "Yellow Sweater" is illustrated on the same page. The publishers regret that the photograph shown is a blue sweater instead of a yellow one, but wish to reassure readers that the photograph does illustrate the pattern in all respects except colour.

Notto

16th November 2005

I have been asked to point out that Otto, my lovely knitted octopus, is not exactly anatomically correct in all particulars. In particular, his eyes should be opposite each other on either side of his head and his mouth should be underneath him, in between all his legs. Not to mention being considerably less smiley and more of a vicious beak. Like this. I should also like to make it clear that the octopus is a merciless predator with a poisonous bite, and does not have a gentle bone in its body. I apologise in advance for any confusion your children may experience in later life as a result of happy hours spent playing with knitted octopi as infants.

Otto

9th November 2005

Meet Otto, my new best friend. He is an octupus. And knitted. In fact, he is a knitted octupus. I knitted him myself to a very clever seamless design of my own devising. So if you're googling for Octopus Knitting Pattern I'm afraid you'll have to look inside my head, as that's the only place you're likely to find it.

Pumpkin

31st October 2005

It's Hallowe'en. So I have grown a pumpkin. It's an Atlantic Giant, but only a tiddler at a mere 43lb. Here is an artist's impression of what it would like if it had grown to full size, with a gardener to scale. Or, if you prefer, an artist's impression of what the gardener would look like if he was struck by a spooky shrinking spell.
